Global Initiatives & Events Executive

About the role

The Global Initiatives & Events Executive will lead the planning, execution and delivery of Tourism Ireland’s flagship global programmes and events. Working across all markets and agencies, you will ensure that key moments such as St Patrick’s Day, Home of Halloween and Winter in Ireland showcase the island to an international audience.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams, market offices and external partners to develop and deliver the global events calendar.
• Project‑manage high‑profile events, overseeing creative development, logistics, communications and on‑the‑ground execution.
• Lead cross‑functional teams (publicity, social, brand & content, media) to produce cohesive, high‑impact campaigns.
• Evaluate performance, produce reports and provide actionable insights to optimise marketing investment.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, sister agencies and stakeholders across the island.
• Identify process improvements, streamline workflows and support the Global Initiatives & Events Manager with strategic advice.
• Plan and manage resources within agreed budgets, ensuring compliance with corporate governance, financial and HR policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale international events or marketing programmes.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and collaboration skills across multiple teams and external partners.
• Ability to analyse data, report on outcomes and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent organisational and budget‑management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel and work flexibly outside standard business hours when required.
