Go/Golang Developer (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Go/Golang developer to work remotely on a part‑time contract (10‑12 hours per week). You will help train and evaluate next‑generation AI systems by tackling real‑world software engineering challenges across backend, full‑stack, systems, and infrastructure domains.

Key responsibilities

• Take on diverse engineering tasks involving APIs, databases, services, integrations, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Review, debug, improve, and clearly explain code in unfamiliar codebases.
• Identify trade‑offs related to scalability, performance, reliability, security, and developer experience.
• Communicate technical reasoning in writing, outlining why solutions work and alternative options.
• Collaborate with the client’s team on technical reviews, implementation decisions, and problem‑solving exercises.
• Adapt quickly to new frameworks, tools, and technical requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong ability to reason through unfamiliar code and articulate engineering decisions.
• Experience building or maintaining production‑grade applications, APIs, services, or integrations.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, part‑time contract setting.

Required skills

• Go (Golang) – primary language.
• Experience with at least one of: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Java, C#.NET, C++, Ruby, PHP.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, containers (Docker) and monitoring.
• Frontend frameworks (optional but beneficial): React, Next.js, Angular, Vue, React Native.
