Graduate Process Engineer

About the role

Lilly is seeking a Graduate Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations at its Kinsale site, contributing to the development and production of pipeline products across small molecule, large molecule and peptide businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day process engineering or automation support for small molecule, large molecule or peptide manufacturing.
• Support commissioning activities and implement equipment or control system upgrades to improve productivity.
• Facilitate introduction of new products and associated unit operations, ensuring the site stays current with processing innovations.
• Maintain ownership and oversight of equipment qualification within the assigned area.

Required profile

• Entry‑level graduate (0‑2 years) with a degree in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Creative mindset to identify improvement opportunities and drive implementation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of upstream and downstream biopharmaceutical unit operations.
• Understanding of small‑molecule API unit operations, reactor/bioreactor design, heat and mass transfer.
• Familiarity with SIP/CIP, filtration, chromatography techniques and process control.
• Experience with modelling tools for process analysis.
