Graduate Software Engineer – 2025/2026

About the role

Arista Networks is seeking enthusiastic graduate engineers to join its Software Defined Networking (SDN) team. You will work on cutting‑edge networking hardware and software, contributing to the next generation of data‑center and campus solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Write Linux user‑space and kernel code to enable 32‑bit drivers to DMA 64‑bit virtual memory using Intel and AMD IOMMU controllers.
• Develop software that bridges the hardware/software boundary for ASICs, FPGAs, media adapters and PCIe bridges.
• Implement and tune networking protocols such as LLDP, 802.1x, BFD, BGP, OSPF and ISIS.
• Access ASIC registers via SPI, SMBus, PCIe and I2C to gather real‑time flow statistics and generate congestion metrics.
• Build configuration‑management services and software agents in Go and Python.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to program ASIC registers, TCAM memories and high‑resolution timers.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (2025/2026) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in low‑level systems, networking hardware and SDN technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
