Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a market‑leading organisation's senior finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will ensure accurate, timely financial information while supporting strategic growth across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day finance operations, including core accounting and cash management.
• Produce accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain data integrity.
• Manage multi‑entity reporting and support group consolidation.
• Drive cash‑flow management and working‑capital optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, audit and tax requirements.
• Maintain and enhance the financial control environment, mitigating risks.
• Coordinate with external auditors and advisors for year‑end processes.
• Provide insightful analysis and commentary for senior management decisions.
• Prepare management reporting packs and monitor KPIs.
• Partner with business stakeholders to improve profitability and performance.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader.
• Strong background in managing multi‑entity operations.
• Demonstrated ability to implement robust financial controls and governance.
• Deep understanding of statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit processes.
• Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience using financial reporting tools.
