Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will lead the finance function at a fast‑growing Irish multinational, reporting to senior finance leadership. This senior position is based in West Dublin with a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group external reporting, preparing annual and interim financial statements in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the group audit process and oversee statutory reporting for multiple subsidiaries.
• Own the month‑end close and consolidated management reporting cycle.
• Strengthen balance‑sheet control, reporting accuracy and overall financial governance.
• Drive process, system and internal‑control improvements, focusing on standardisation and automation.
• Support M&A activities, including due diligence, acquisition accounting and post‑deal integration.
• Partner with senior finance and business stakeholders across the organisation.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant, preferably with Big 4 or Top 6 experience serving industry clients.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS, consolidations and statutory reporting.
• Proven experience managing external audits and working with senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to M&A and acquisition accounting is advantageous.
