Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead financial operations for a global manufacturing organisation. Based in the Midlands office, you will work on‑site twice a week and collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations across multiple business locations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and reporting requirements.
• Support budgeting, financial planning, and cost‑analysis activities.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Coordinate with external auditors and financial advisors.
• Lead and develop the finance team, maintaining high performance standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on key projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a senior finance or financial controller role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and financial controls.
• Experience leading or managing finance teams.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
