Group Head of Tax

About the role

This is a high‑impact leadership position within an international group headquartered in Dublin. The Group Head of Tax will shape and execute the company’s tax strategy, work closely with the CFO and senior leadership, and operate in a flat, collaborative environment that spans tax, treasury, and investor engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and manage tax risks across the group and own compliance for all relevant tax heads.
• Partner with external tax advisors while building in‑house expertise.
• Provide tax advice for M&A activity, review due‑diligence material, prepare tax reports, and manage multi‑party due‑diligence processes.
• Manage the annual tax compliance and advisory fee budget, including ad‑hoc M&A advisory costs.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Company Secretarial and Commercial teams and engage with auditors, advisors and investors.
• Oversee preparation and review of legal documentation arising from tax structuring.
• Manage cross‑border transfer pricing, ensure divisional compliance and maintain required documentation.
• Lead all interactions with Irish Revenue and other tax authorities.
• Support month‑end, quarterly and year‑end reporting for tax and treasury.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional with significant post‑qualification experience in a listed international group.
• Strong experience managing international tax matters across multiple European jurisdictions.
• Extensive exposure to M&A activity and transaction‑related tax issues.
• Treasury experience is advantageous, including cash management, liquidity, funding strategy and capital‑structure optimisation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
