Head of Commercial Sales (Renewable Energy)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to head our Commercial Sales function within Alternative Energy Ireland. The role will drive revenue growth, shape our market offering and ensure an excellent customer experience across all sales channels.

Key responsibilities

• Define, execute and measure commercial strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Design and manage the customer proposition and experience for all channels.
• Develop and expand AEI’s product range to support the energy transition.
• Act as custodian of the AEI brand, creating and delivering a marketing strategy that increases market share and brand recognition.
• Monitor competitive landscape and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Identify data, tools and systems required to support sales and marketing.
• Manage the commercial budget and associated costs.
• Develop, monitor and improve sales metrics, KPIs and reporting.
• Lead, motivate and develop the commercial sales team, fostering a high‑performing, inclusive culture.

Required profile

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience, preferably in renewable energy or related sectors.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
• Excellent team leadership and people‑development skills.
• Ability to collaborate across a multi‑business group and drive business development.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement of the customer experience.
