Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the finance function across the Island of Ireland, ensuring accurate financial management, robust controls and compliance with all regulatory standards. Reporting to the CFO, this senior leader will partner with the Senior Leadership Team to drive performance against budget and forecast while supporting the company’s culture and people development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Produce timely monthly and annual management accounts in partnership with the Senior Financial Accountant.
• Monitor and analyse variances versus forecast, ensuring reporting aligns with the Group Finance calendar.
• Develop, coach and manage the Finance team, overseeing performance reviews, talent planning and succession.
• Maintain compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, tax codes (VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Corporation Tax) and legal requirements.
• Lead the internal Business Support Framework to manage risks and verify key controls.
• Manage the annual audit process, negotiate fees and deliver a clean audit opinion.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior finance roles with a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams, fostering an inclusive and high‑performance culture.
• Deep knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and tax compliance in Ireland.
• Experience managing external audits and implementing robust internal controls.
