Head of Finance – Remote (Ireland)

About the role

This executive‑level position leads finance, tax, regulatory reporting and safeguarding for a fast‑growing global cryptocurrency platform operating in Ireland. The role is remote with occasional visits to the Ireland office and reports directly to Group Finance and the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and ensure GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.
• Maintain capital adequacy, tax compliance and all regulatory reporting deadlines for Coinbase Ireland Limited.
• Act as the senior executive responsible for safeguarding customer funds in line with Irish regulatory requirements.
• Provide transparent financial updates to the Board of Directors and senior leadership.
• Ensure accurate books, audit‑ready financial statements and liaison with external auditors.
• Collaborate with global teams in Compliance, Legal, Tax, Treasury and Operations to embed robust financial controls.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably within fintech or cryptocurrency.
• Demonstrated ability to work with financial regulators and secure PCF approval.
• Strong judgment and a track record of maintaining a rigorous financial control environment.
• Excellent communication skills for board and stakeholder reporting.
