Head of Food Marketing

About the role

Dunnes Stores, Ireland’s leading retailer, is seeking a dynamic Head of Food Marketing to lead the marketing strategy for its food product lines. Based in the Dublin head office, you will shape brand growth, drive customer engagement and support the company’s market‑leading position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive food marketing strategy aligned with corporate goals.
• Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitive data to identify growth opportunities.
• Define brand positioning, messaging and value proposition in collaboration with senior leadership and the Art Director.
• Oversee brand marketing plans across all food categories, ensuring consistent messaging across channels.
• Lead digital marketing initiatives including social media, SEO/SEM, email marketing, content creation and e‑commerce optimisation.
• Manage traditional media campaigns (print, TV, radio, outdoor) and coordinate promotional activities with merchandising and sales teams.
• Monitor campaign performance, adjust tactics to maximise ROI and ensure timely in‑store implementation.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing marketing team, fostering creativity, collaboration and accountability.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of the Irish food retail market with a proven record of driving growth through innovative campaigns.
• Strong analytical mindset to translate customer insights into actionable marketing initiatives.
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Leadership experience managing and developing marketing professionals.
