Head of Retail

About the role

Lead the Retail function for dnata Catering & Retail Ireland, overseeing buying, category management, marketing, merchandising and sales engagement across the network. Drive EBITDA growth, service excellence and strengthen the partnership with Aer Lingus.

Key responsibilities

• Own the EI retail contract and act as senior customer owner, handling escalations.
• Hold full P&L accountability, driving revenue growth, margin optimisation and cost control.
• Lead contract governance, compliance, risk management and SLA/KPI performance.
• Develop and execute retail, buying, category, merchandising, marketing and sales strategies.
• Manage talent, ensure operational excellence and compliance with health, safety and HR practices.
• Oversee retail technology platform, vendor performance and system integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years experience in retail, commercial or strategic account management.
• Proven key account management experience, preferably in airline or aviation.
• Strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and continuous improvement capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience with P&L management and retail technology platforms.
• Knowledge of SLAs, contractual obligations and commercial commitments.
