Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Clonakilty

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our team at CareChoice in Clonakilty. You will work alongside experienced nursing staff to deliver high‑quality, holistic care to our residents in a supportive, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in providing holistic resident care.
• Maintain residents' hygiene and personal care with dignity.
• Assist residents with eating, drinking and nutrition needs.
• Help residents mobilise safely using appropriate aids.
• Escort or transfer residents as directed by nursing staff.
• Provide assistance in end‑of‑life care when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by nurses or management.

Required profile

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or a relevant qualification (or working towards it).
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring attitude.
• Good level of English language proficiency.
• Availability to work varied shift patterns, including days, nights and weekends.
