Healthcare Assistant – Home Care Support

About the role

Bluebird Care is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to provide personal care and support to clients in their own homes across the Kilkenny and Tipperary area. You will work closely with our Clinical Governance Team and local office staff to ensure each client receives high‑quality, dignified care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
• Implement care plans in line with client needs and Bluebird Care policies.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
• Promote client comfort, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

Required profile

• Completion of QQI Level 5 modules “Care of the Older Person” and “Care Skills/Healthcare Support”, or at least one year of relevant caring experience.
• Genuine concern for others, demonstrating kindness, compassion, and patience.
• Flexibility and strong availability to meet client schedules.

Required skills

• Ability to follow care plans and health‑care protocols.
• Basic documentation and record‑keeping skills.
