HR Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist will join Alliance Medical’s HR team at Raheen Business Park, Limerick, delivering a full‑service HR function for employees and people managers. The role covers the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding through learning and development, engagement, employee relations, absence and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records across all HR systems and manage probation, anniversary and benefits communications.
• Process new starter documentation, employment contracts and conduct pre‑employment compliance checks, including right‑to‑work verification.
• Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding to ensure a seamless employee experience.
• Support performance management processes, including probation reviews, performance concerns and learning needs analysis.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations matters such as disciplinary, grievance and absence management, ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Assist people managers with engagement and retention initiatives, including 1:1 meetings, career development and wellbeing programmes.
• Organise occupational health and wellbeing activities, including scheduling appointments and promoting the Employee Assistance Programme.
• Maintain learning and development records, conduct needs analysis and schedule appropriate training interventions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in delivering HR operations and employee lifecycle services.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and best practice.
• Ability to provide clear HR advice to managers and employees.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
