HR Manager – Manufacturing Site

About the role

AbbVie is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its Ireland Human Resources team and lead HR activities for the manufacturing site in Sligo. You will apply best‑in‑class HR practices to build programs that position AbbVie as an employer of choice and support employees at every level.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver HR strategies, programs, and services aligned with business needs.
• Partner with the Site Leadership Team to foster a culture of high engagement, performance, diversity, and inclusion.
• Coach business leaders on talent pipeline development, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
• Analyze data and survey results to generate insights on talent, culture, and engagement.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to implement People Strategy initiatives, including change management.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, discipline, and performance issues.
• Ensure legal compliance and work with legal counsel on litigation‑risk situations.
• Coordinate with HR Operations on documentation, status changes, pay, benefits, performance reviews, investigations, and terminations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Studies, or a related field (CIPD membership preferred).
• Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist, with expertise in at least one HR specialism.
• Proven track record in employee relations, leadership development, and applying HR best practices.
