Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

Join a dynamic HR team as a Human Resources Business Partner, supporting managers in a regulated and unionised environment. You will act as the go‑to expert for employee relations, industrial relations and compliance, working on‑site three days a week in Dublin City Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice and case management for employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with Irish employment law.
• Lead grievance, disciplinary, investigation, absence and capability cases from start to finish, maintaining accurate records.
• Support the Head of HR with industrial relations activities, including union meeting preparation and day‑to‑day IR queries.
• Assist internal and external audits, ensuring HR controls, systems and documentation are audit‑ready.
• Contribute to the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex HR operational queries, offering sound judgement.
• Partner with cross‑functional HR teams to deliver people initiatives and improve processes.

Required profile

• Solid experience in an employee‑relations focused HR role, managing complex cases end‑to‑end.
• Practical experience in a unionised environment with day‑to‑day IR handling.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and its practical application.
• Experience supporting audits and governance in a regulated setting.
• Exposure to HR operations or shared services with sound judgement on nuanced queries.
• Excellent stakeholder management and professional communication skills.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented, with discretion, confidentiality and GDPR awareness.
• Degree in HR or related field and a CIPD qualification.
