Human Resources Specialist – Agribusiness & Retail

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join a leading Irish organisation operating in agribusiness, retail and food. Based in Finisklin Business Park, Sligo, the role is hybrid and offers the chance to support the full employee lifecycle in a dynamic, growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers to deliver HR advice across recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from attraction to offer and induction.
• Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and performance issues.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with Irish employment legislation and best practice.
• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and internal communications.
• Coordinate onboarding, induction and development programmes.
• Support talent development, succession planning and HR reporting.
• Contribute to HR system administration, time‑and‑attendance and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
• Proven experience in employee relations and performance management.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship‑building abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with HR information systems (any platform).
