About the role
This position is for a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to join a leading international retail and hospitality group. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, the role provides pragmatic and strategic advice across operations in the US, UK and Ireland.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on M&A transactions and intragroup reorganisations.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial, energy, utilities and property contracts.
- Support litigation, dispute resolution and reputational risk management.
- Provide guidance on IP/IT, competition, data protection, financings and refinancings.
- Assist with employment law matters across the Group.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor with 4‑6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
- Experience in both private practice and in‑house environments is preferred.
- Commercially minded self‑starter with strong commercial and legal judgement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, high‑growth setting.
- Clear communicator capable of simplifying complex legal issues for senior stakeholders.
