Indirect Tax Manager

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the in‑house tax function of a high‑performing, innovative global group. The Indirect Tax Manager will work on a blend of compliance and advisory projects while partnering closely with business teams across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the review and approval of indirect tax returns across multiple international jurisdictions, using automated data processes and ensuring robust internal controls.
• Monitor global indirect tax legislative and regulatory changes and proactively communicate their impact.
• Identify, assess, and manage emerging tax risks, including regulatory developments, law changes, product‑related risks, and control weaknesses.
• Contribute to the design, improvement, and operation of the tax control framework, ensuring risks are documented, monitored, and mitigated.
• Lead strategic tax input for new product launches, market entries, and commercial initiatives.
• Coordinate responses to queries or audits from tax authorities in various jurisdictions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Act as a trusted business partner to Product, Commercial, Regulatory, Finance, and Data teams.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional with 2‑3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Exposure to international indirect tax issues.
• Interest in stepping into a first managerial role within industry.
• Tax compliance experience (direct or indirect) is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced global environment.
• Commercially focused with enthusiasm for engaging non‑tax teams.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
