Industrial Engineer – Capacity Planning (12-month contract)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading life sciences company to hire an Industrial Engineer on a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on developing and maintaining capacity planning models that support manufacturing and supply‑chain decisions. Working three days per week on‑site in South Dublin, you will provide data‑driven insights into labour and equipment capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve labour and equipment capacity models, ensuring accurate planning assumptions.
• Analyse operational performance against capacity plans to identify constraints, bottlenecks and utilisation issues.
• Support weekly, monthly and long‑range capacity planning through scenario modelling and data‑driven recommendations.
• Present capacity insights and modelling outputs to operational and functional stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing model automation, data quality and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering, capacity planning, manufacturing, supply chain or operations planning.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, structured data models, planning tools).
• Power Query (desirable).
