Internal Auditor – Permanent, Full-Time

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join a well‑established, diversified Irish organisation operating across manufacturing, retail, distribution and consumer products. Reporting within a collaborative finance and governance structure, you will own the internal audit function and contribute to operational and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present the Annual Internal Audit Plan based on risk assessment, including timelines and audit priorities.
• Plan and deliver internal audit assignments across financial, operational, and systems controls.
• Assess compliance with internal policies, procedures, and best practice standards.
• Prepare clear and detailed audit reports with practical recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor and follow up on agreed actions and remediation plans.
• Support management teams in enhancing internal controls and governance processes.
• Lead and coordinate annual group risk assessment activities.
• Participate in ongoing operational and systems‑related projects across the organisation.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant and member of a recognised professional accountancy body.
• Previous experience within a large accounting firm or internal audit function of a sizeable organisation.
• Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable challenging existing processes and recommending improvements.
• Strong presentation and reporting abilities.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport.
