International Careers Consultant

About the role

The Careers Service at Dublin City University is seeking a proactive International Careers Consultant to support the employability of its diverse international student community. You will work across undergraduate, postgraduate taught and research programmes, helping students plan and launch careers in Ireland or abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver tailored employability initiatives for international cohorts.
• Provide specialist advice, workshops and curriculum‑based teaching on career planning.
• Develop resources and networking opportunities linking students with global employers.
• Coach students through the transition from study to work, whether in Ireland, their home country or another region.
• Collaborate with the Careers Service team and report to the Head of the Service.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification and experience in career guidance or student support.
• Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse student populations.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to enhancing graduate outcomes in a global labour market.
