International Tax Specialist

About the role

Our client, a leading global organisation in the aviation leasing sector, is looking for an International Tax Specialist to join its Finance team in Shannon. The role will work closely with the VP of Tax and the wider Global Finance and Treasury teams, providing both compliance and advisory support across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tax returns, filings and payments for various jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support quarterly and annual tax reporting, including computations, provisions, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Monitor tax authority correspondence, identify risks and coordinate appropriate responses.
• Stay up‑to‑date with tax legislation changes and assess their impact on the business.
• Provide tax advice on leasing transactions and other commercial activities, working with external advisers as needed.
• Identify and implement improvements to tax processes, controls and operational efficiency.
• Act as a key contact during internal and external audits, delivering required tax documentation.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to offer tax guidance on a range of finance‑related matters.

Required profile

• AITI qualification (ACA or ACCA advantageous).
• Post‑qualification experience in a tax‑focused role.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance and reporting.
• Experience in the aviation leasing industry or tax accounting is a plus.

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
