IT Infrastructure Engineer – 24/7 Healthcare Operations

About the role

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a client’s IT team supporting critical 24/7 healthcare operations in a complex enterprise environment. The role is hands‑on, covering networking, servers, virtualisation, storage, backup, security and Microsoft infrastructure, with a strong focus on operational support and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support enterprise infrastructure systems and services across networking, servers, virtualisation, storage and security platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a 24/7 healthcare IT environment.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvement projects.
• Contribute to disaster‑recovery, monitoring and operational resilience activities.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, clinical departments, vendors and third‑party providers to ensure secure and stable services.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise environments.
• Broad exposure to networking, Windows/Linux, virtualisation or security.
• Experience handling infrastructure incidents and delivering projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
