IT Support Technician – Multi‑branch Support

About the role

Mallow Credit Union is looking for an IT Support Technician to maintain and improve its IT infrastructure across eight branches in North Cork and West Limerick. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide both deskside and remote assistance, troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software issues, and contribute to ongoing IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide deskside and remote support to staff across eight branches.
• Troubleshoot PCs, laptops, servers, networks, printers, and business applications.
• Assist with rollout of new hardware and digital tools.
• Create user‑friendly guides and support staff with new systems.
• Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, and user guides.
• Liaise with vendors to escalate issues when required.
• Support planning and scheduling of maintenance, security updates, and system investigations.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of hands‑on IT support experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and practical problem‑solving skills.
• Clear communication ability and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport for branch travel.
• Relevant IT certifications or formal education in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
