IT System Administrator - Azure

About the role

You will join a growing IT team in Dublin, reporting to the Cloud Manager. The position focuses on maintaining and enhancing both on‑premises and Microsoft Azure environments while supporting a wide range of Microsoft 365 and networking services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Manage Azure resources such as Azure AD, VMs, VNets, NSGs, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers, Key Vault, Storage, Backup, RBAC, Azure SQL, Web Apps and monitoring.
• Support hybrid cloud infrastructure and ensure security best practices.
• Monitor infrastructure using tools like Nagios or PRTG and produce health and performance reports.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI and develop scripts for routine operations.
• Provide technical support to internal users and external customers, including on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Windows Server administration and Azure services.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPN).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Defender).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Customer‑focused attitude with attention to detail.
