IT Systems & Automation Engineer

About the role

n8n is looking for an IT Systems & Automation Engineer to make its IT operations reliable, secure, and scalable. You will combine hands‑on IT operations with continuous process improvement, using both code and no‑code tools to automate repetitive tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day identity and access management across Okta, Google Workspace, GitHub and connected SaaS applications.
• Manage employee and application lifecycle workflows, including provisioning, access changes, group assignments, troubleshooting and de‑provisioning.
• Deliver reliable onboarding and off‑boarding experiences in partnership with People, Finance and managers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the macOS device fleet using endpoint management tooling.
• Design and build secure automations for recurring IT processes using n8n, APIs, scripting and AI‑assisted tools.
• Redesign manual workflows to become observable, documented, reliable and scalable.
• Provide L1/L2 IT support, create runbooks, process documentation and escalation paths.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in IT operations and continuous process improvement.
• Ability to work across identity, endpoint, and automation domains.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
