Junior Buyer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Buyer to join our team on a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover. You will be responsible for developing and managing core front‑of‑shop product categories, driving sales and margin while supporting our inclusive and innovative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the range of core front‑of‑shop categories, delivering sales and margin targets.
• Build, present and execute strong category strategies and promotional plans.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing suppliers, negotiating joint business plans and long‑term agreements.
• Analyse performance data to identify revenue and margin improvement opportunities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market trends, competitor pricing and customer needs.
• Collaborate with space planning to create and implement planograms.
• Prepare and deliver range reviews and presentations.
• Attend trade shows to source new product opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal supply chain to ensure optimal product delivery.
• Conduct regular store visits to support sales growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in buying or category management.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills.
• Experience in pharmacy retail or a similar retail chain is a distinct advantage.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Critical thinker who can act on performance insights.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
