Learning and Development Programme Lead (18‑Month Contract)

About the role

Join Matheson’s Learning and Development team as a Programme Lead on an 18‑month contract. You will drive the design, delivery and continuous improvement of structured development pathways for lawyers and business‑service professionals, while supporting leadership and employee‑engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design and delivery of multiple structured development programmes ("Pathways").
• Coordinate leadership programmes as part of performance development.
• Manage relationships with external training providers, ensuring quality and ROI.
• Design and facilitate learning events and engagement campaigns to strengthen culture and peer learning.
• Support presenters in sharing knowledge and promote the firm’s mentoring platform.
• Collaborate on firm‑wide strategic projects, recommending innovative internal or client‑focused development solutions.
• Project‑manage learning solutions, adhering to budgets and timelines.
• Develop quantitative and qualitative reports on programme effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Identify new delivery methods, providers and leverage the Learning Management System for self‑paced development.

Required profile

• Experience in the professional services sector is a plus but not mandatory.
• Passion for learning and development, both personal and for others.
• Ability to design initiatives and tailor content to diverse audiences.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, diverse environment; works well independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and take ownership of projects.
