Lift Installation Engineer

About the role

Schindler Ireland is seeking a skilled Lift Installation Engineer to support projects across Southern Ireland. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality lift installations and ensuring successful handovers in line with safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install lift shafts, mechanical components and ancillary equipment following approved procedures.
• Assemble and align traction equipment, positioning and adjusting lift systems.
• Tension lift suspension and governor ropes, and fit associated safety devices on new or refurbished installations.
• Fit a variety of lift doors, frames and entrance systems, including manual and automatic door equipment.
• Carry out final installation checks, adjustments and pre‑commissioning activities to prepare equipment for testing.
• Conduct site surveys, assess installation requirements and provide accurate progress updates.
• Build positive relationships with customers, site personnel and internal teams to ensure project standards are met.

Required profile

• Proven experience in lift or elevator installation or a related mechanical engineering field.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and installation procedures.
• Ability to work independently on site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
