Logistics Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage end‑to‑end transport and distribution activities across our busy operations hub in Dublin West. The role combines hands‑on route planning, export/import coordination and rigorous compliance with food safety and transport regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate domestic and international transport routes (road, sea, air).
• Manage export and import logistics in line with operational requirements.
• Optimise fleet utilisation and contracted haulage to meet service and cost targets.
• Monitor transport spend and support departmental budget adherence.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, documentation and reporting systems.
• Ensure compliance with GDP, BRCGS food‑safety standards and all relevant transport legislation.
• Liaise with internal teams, customers and external transport providers.
• Oversee daily transport activities, delivery confirmations and scheduling updates.
• Support incident reporting, vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules and compliance checks.
• Drive continuous improvement of logistics processes and technology adoption.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, transport coordination or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong understanding of transport compliance, GDP and food‑safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Safety‑first mindset and accountability for health & safety standards.

Required skills

• Food Safety Level 1 awareness.
• GDP (Good Distribution Practice) awareness/training.
• ADR (Dangerous Goods by Road) awareness.
• IMDG Code awareness for sea freight.
• Fire Warden training.
• First Aid certification.
