Maintenance Electrician – Manufacturing Facility

About the role

Kepak is seeking a permanent Maintenance Electrician to join the team at its Athleague manufacturing plant in Roscommon. You will be responsible for keeping electrical equipment running safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced food production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain plant and equipment to optimum performance, following the daily production plan.
• Perform pre‑start, hygiene and safety checks; report any faults or unsafe conditions.
• Repair industrial production equipment such as high‑speed machines, conveyors, packaging machines, gearboxes, bearings and hydraulics.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with preventative maintenance programmes and continuous monitoring of machinery.
• Ensure real‑time repairs to minimise downtime and document all maintenance activities.
• Adhere to company safety policies and Lean Operations deliverables.

Required profile

• Relevant trade‑certified qualification.
• At least 1 year of post‑qualification experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong oral and written communication, enthusiastic and hardworking.
• High attention to detail and ability to work rotating shifts.
