Maintenance Technician – Electrical background

About the role

The Maintenance Technician – Electrical background will ensure safe, effective maintenance, repair, and replacement of factory equipment and systems. Working the evening shift, you will help maximise plant efficiency while upholding high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and site infrastructure.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and implement improvements to minimise downtime.
• Analyse operational needs and suggest process improvements.
• Assess materials, conduct trials, and evaluate finished products against specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support operational goals.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
• Support key projects, ensuring sustainability and successful implementation.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with health & safety legislation.
• Monitor equipment performance and provide feedback for ongoing improvements.
• Control maintenance‑related costs, including parts, stock, and contracted services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a maintenance or similar technical role.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and highly organised.
