Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join a production team in Mayo. The role focuses on keeping plant machinery reliable, efficient and safe through planned maintenance and rapid fault resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of plant equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, performing timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections and repairs.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory to ensure critical components are available.
• Prioritise and respond to maintenance requests to support uninterrupted production.
• Apply hands‑on skills in basic machining, bearing and shaft assembly, and fault diagnosis.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience or strong aptitude in machine maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in machine maintenance (preferred).
• Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
