Management Accountant

About the role

The Management Accountant will provide timely and accurate financial information and detailed reports to support decision‑making across specific business areas. Using a range of data tools, the role will optimise financial processes, streamline workflows and enhance the quality of management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver month‑end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries for assigned business areas.
• Produce accurate management accounts and insightful reports, combining financial and non‑financial data.
• Prepare commentary on variances between forecasts and actuals, highlighting key drivers.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and accounting standards.
• Assist internal and external audit processes and address audit queries.
• Analyse budget versus actual figures, collaborate with operational teams and identify cost‑control opportunities.
• Identify optimisation and automation opportunities using Power Query and Power BI.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of financial, operational and reporting systems.
• Lead or participate in finance‑related change projects and digital transformation initiatives.
