Managing Director / Chief Operating Officer (Beauty & Consumer Brands)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially driven Managing Director / Chief Operating Officer to lead the next phase of growth for a high‑growth beauty and consumer brand. The role blends strategic brand leadership, operational excellence, and commercial performance to deliver sustainable expansion across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide unified leadership across brand, creative, digital, customer experience and operational teams.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability and overall business performance.
• Develop and execute growth plans for direct‑to‑consumer, retail, e‑commerce and wholesale channels.
• Champion a customer‑first approach, optimizing the journey at every touchpoint.
• Partner with creative, marketing, product and commercial teams to ensure brand consistency and execution excellence.
• Leverage sales, market and customer data to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, commercial planning and performance management.
• Build, mentor and develop high‑performing teams and leadership capability across the organisation.
• Identify and implement improvements in scalability, operational efficiency and organisational effectiveness.
• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team shaping long‑term direction.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience within skincare, cosmetics, beauty or broader consumer product brands.
• Proven track record in senior roles such as Managing Director, COO, General Manager, Commercial Director or Brand Director.
• Strong commercial acumen with a history of driving growth and improving business performance.
• Deep understanding of brand strategy, creative leadership and customer experience.
• Experience operating in an omni‑channel retail environment.
• Data‑driven mindset with ability to translate insights into commercial outcomes.
• Financial and operational management expertise, including full P&L ownership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and align departments around common objectives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in fast‑paced, high‑growth businesses.
