Manufacturing Engineer – Electronics & Mechanical Assembly

About the role
Moog Ireland Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive improvements in the production of high‑reliability electronic circuit cards and mechanical assemblies for motion controllers. The role involves supporting continuous improvement, new equipment introduction and product launches within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and implement improvements in electronic circuit card and mechanical system assembly processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, capability and cost.
- Specify, justify and install new equipment on schedule and budget.
- Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) input and collaborate with in‑house and corporate design teams.
- Lead new product introductions, creating costings, assembly processes and standard operating procedures.
- Support SMT, PTH, selective solder, aqueous cleaning and conformal coating operations, ensuring equipment meets specifications.
- Support mechanical assembly using automated torque drivers and laser marking.
- Work closely with production and other departments to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Design and maintain assembly processes that satisfy quality, throughput, cost and EHS requirements, applying Lean tools.
- Deliver training on processes and equipment, and develop safe product‑handling solutions.
- Review, approve and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and assist other Moog sites with costings and assembly solutions.
Required profile
- Level‑8 degree qualification.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing within a highly regulated environment.
- Practical, constructive and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in applying Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with customers and internal teams.
- High degree of flexibility to support global Moog projects.
