About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a highly advanced biologics manufacturing site in Kerry. The role provides on‑site technical support, equipment optimisation and contributes to continuous improvement across the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing operations and equipment systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to optimise equipment design, reliability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical procedures, guides and training materials.
  • Lead problem‑solving activities and support process‑improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency and performance.
  • Support validation, commissioning and qualification activities in partnership with Validation teams.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement projects.
  • Support aseptic filling and lyophilisation processes and equipment performance.
  • Provide troubleshooting for PLC and SCADA control systems.
  • Assist in establishing operational best practices, procedures and manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, health & safety and site quality standards.

Required profile

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in biologics, pharmaceutical or regulated GMP manufacturing environments.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability.
  • Experience with aseptic filling and lyophilisation processes (preferred).
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, process systems and automation infrastructure.
  • Exposure to PLC and SCADA systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience supporting validation, commissioning or qualification activities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
