About the role
CREGG is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support a leading medical‑device manufacturer in Galway. The role is hybrid and project‑based, focusing on the design, validation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production.
Key responsibilities
- Introduce and validate new equipment, including clean‑room transfers.
- Analyse process, product, material and equipment specifications to meet performance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve production and engineering issues.
- Lead root‑cause investigations using Lean tools and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and conduct yield analysis.
- Develop, update and implement process procedures and change documentation.
- Evaluate environmental impact of new equipment, processes and chemicals in partnership with EHS.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Mechanical, Manufacturing or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in medical‑device or regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret test data and draw technical conclusions.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and adhere to quality and regulatory standards.
