Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

This on‑site position in County Kerry supports a highly advanced biologics manufacturing site. The Manufacturing Engineer will ensure equipment performance, drive process optimisation, and contribute to the site’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing operations and equipment systems.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to optimise equipment design, reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain technical procedures, guides and training materials.
• Lead problem‑solving activities and support process‑improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency and operational performance.
• Support validation, commissioning and qualification activities in partnership with Validation teams.
• Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Provide troubleshooting for PLC and SCADA control systems and support aseptic filling and lyophilisation processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in biologics, pharmaceutical or regulated GMP manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability.
• Experience with aseptic filling and lyophilisation processes is preferred.
• Exposure to PLC and SCADA systems within a manufacturing setting.
• Experience supporting validation, commissioning or qualification activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
