Manufacturing Operative

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Manufacturing Operative to join our food production team in Castleblaney. The role is hands‑on, focusing on quality, efficiency and hygiene to deliver premium meat products. You will work on the production line, operating machinery and ensuring product standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Cutting and trimming meat to exact specifications.
• Adjusting machinery settings to meet product requirements.
• Inspecting products for quality, including size, weight, colour and packaging.
• Identifying faults and resolving or reporting issues promptly.
• Preparing goods for dispatch, including packing, labelling and wrapping.
• Supporting goods‑in/goods‑out processes.
• Managing stock control and scanning products.
• Operating mince and mix machinery.
• Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with accurate reporting ability.
• Good team player who works well under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Experience with scanning and IT systems.
• Determined, resilient and driven to complete tasks.
• Strong communication skills.
• High levels of professionalism and integrity.
