Manufacturing Technologist – Maintenance Technician

About the role

Vantive is seeking a Manufacturing Technologist / Maintenance Technician to join its Castlebar site. You will work closely with Production, Engineering and support teams to keep equipment running reliably and support life‑saving dialysis processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support plant services and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with the introduction and commissioning of new equipment and processes.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory for critical assets.
• Perform preventative maintenance on schedule to uphold safety, quality and performance standards.
• Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and technical input.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth handovers and communication.

Required profile

• Trades certification, preferably electrical.
• Accredited multi‑skilled qualification or equivalent technical certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to manage escalated technical issues.
• Commitment to continuous learning and upskilling.

• Electrical trades knowledge.

• PLC control systems.
• Robotics familiarity.
• Low‑voltage control experience.
• Pneumatic system knowledge.
• Hydraulic system knowledge.
