Materials Planner – Manufacturing & Distribution

About the role

We are looking for a Materials Planner who will manage hardware inventory, receiving, and distribution for manufacturing and distribution sites. The role supports hardware setup, configuration, and shipment while ensuring accuracy and safety in the lab and work areas.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, put away and cycle count hardware to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Organize inventory, address daily operational inquiries and resolve issues.
• Assist teams with hardware device configurations for laptops, network equipment, tokens, etc.
• Set up and install hardware, deliver it to internal network sites, and support related projects.
• Review and update procedures to meet business requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment and follow safety guidelines.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and collaborate on cost‑saving initiatives.
• Communicate operational status and performance trends to management.
• Perform system transactions, maintain accurate data, and generate reports using Oracle applications.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and report escalations.
• Travel as needed for network hardware installations or removals.
• Ship hardware in compliance with Oracle policies and coordinate with parcel carriers.
• Meet with suppliers to ensure timely, high‑quality hardware deliveries and handle material planning and scheduling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of desktop support, PC repair and hardware configuration is a plus.
• Familiarity with logistics and hardware distribution methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lb.
