Mechanical Debug Engineer

About the role
We are looking for a technically proficient Mechanical Debug Engineer to join our automation team. You will act as the critical link between design and operation, ensuring that automated equipment is commissioned, debugged, and performs to specification.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of machines during build, debug, and commissioning phases.
- Systematically troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control system issues.
- Coordinate debug activities across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines to meet project milestones.
- Develop and manage snag lists, tracking issues from identification through resolution.
- Work closely with electricians, programmers, technicians, and controls engineers.
- Communicate project status, technical challenges, and timeline impacts to stakeholders.
- Support installation and commissioning at customer sites as required.
Required profile
- Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Manufacturing) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 3‑4 years of hands‑on experience in automation environments.
- Proven ability to commission and debug automated equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving and coordination skills.
