Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in a leading manufacturing environment. The role focuses on designing custom tooling, automated systems, and installation equipment while collaborating closely with customers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and installation systems for manufacturing applications.
• Create manual and automated equipment to meet customer and production requirements.
• Manage multiple engineering projects from concept through final delivery.
• Prepare cost estimates, support quotation activities, and produce detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
• Review designs for manufacturability, performance, and quality standards.
• Coordinate manufacturing, assembly, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities.
• Maintain Bills of Materials, product data, and engineering records.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong project‑management capability with the ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel within Europe occasionally.
