Mechanical Fitter – Maintenance Team

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the Maintenance Team at our Irish Cream liqueur manufacturing and bottling plant in Abbeyleix. Working on a two‑shift schedule, you will ensure production machinery runs safely and efficiently, directly supporting the quality of our iconic spirits.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns.
• Fabricate and fit parts using turning, milling, welding, pipework and other tools.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Uphold safety, hygiene and quality standards (HACCP, BRC, ISO).
• Collaborate with bottling, liquid processing and new product development teams.
• Support audits, project work and occasional travel to other sites.
• Operate bottling line equipment as needed and assist with equipment trials and training.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) with at least 3 years post‑apprenticeship experience, preferably in a high‑volume, automated manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work a 2‑shift cycle and respond to on‑site emergencies.
• Commitment to high hygiene, safety and quality standards.
