MES Designer – Life Sciences (Hybrid, Dublin or Cork)

About the role

The company is a global technology and consulting firm seeking an experienced MES Designer to join its Life Sciences team in Ireland. Working on a hybrid basis in Dublin or Cork, you will help leading pharmaceutical, biotech and medical‑device manufacturers digitalise their production through robust Manufacturing Execution Systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement MES solutions tailored to life‑science manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with clients and internal technical teams to capture user requirements and translate them into high‑impact digital manufacturing designs.
• Author and configure Electronic Batch Records (EBR) within the selected MES platform.
• Integrate MES with ERP systems and shop‑floor control equipment.
• Document MES configurations and support validation activities in line with FDA, GMP and regulated industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on MES experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or other life‑science manufacturing.
• Familiarity with regulated environments, including FDA, GMP and SDLC practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with at least one MES platform such as Körber PAS‑X, Emerson Syncade, Rockwell PharmaSuite, Siemens XFP, POMS or Camstar.
• Ability to configure and maintain Electronic Batch Records (EBR).
• Knowledge of ERP‑MES integration techniques.
