Mid-Level DevOps Engineer

About the role

This role sits at the core of a fast‑paced, cloud‑native engineering environment in Ireland, focusing on scalability, automation and reliability. You will maintain and evolve large‑scale Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS and GCP while collaborating with development teams to improve deployment workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain scalable Kubernetes infrastructure using GKE and EKS in production.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Helm and Ansible.
• Build, optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, secure deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting using modern observability tools.
• Support and troubleshoot PostgreSQL and Kafka environments.
• Automate operational tasks with Python and Bash scripting.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across cloud and containerized environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment strategies.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and provide production support.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE or cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Hands‑on experience managing Kubernetes in production.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Proven expertise with Terraform, Helm and Ansible.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and ELK/OpenSearch.
• Understanding of PostgreSQL and Kafka operations.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
